Rosie O’Donnell, Chelsea Clinton, & More React To Donald Trump’s New Immigration Order!

Donald Trump‘s new executive order may cast a slightly smaller net on refugees, but that doesn’t mean #MuslimBan2 is any more constitutional than its predecessor.

The president signed the new policy on Monday, which now bans Syrian refugees for 120 days, instead of indefinitely, and no longer affects those with visas.

But despite a few changes to make the travel ban less chaotic, a number of celebrities are still calling POTUS out for his discriminatory policy!

George Takei voiced his concerns on Twitter, pointing out that the new ban, which will go into effect 10 days from now, still excludes countries where Trump does business.

The Star Trek alum also suspected Trump’s fragile ego was hurt after his first ban was blocked by the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Of course, Takei was far from the only star to comment on the subject. Pamela Anderson retweeted a post from the American Civil Liberties Union’s account, which wrote that "The new Muslim ban is still a Muslim ban."

Other celebs were a bit more pointed with their tweets. See responses from Chelsea Clinton, Rosie O’Donnell, and more (below)!

Does anyone expect consistency at this point?

the intent of the EO is for a "Muslim Ban." This violates the Establishment Clause of 1st Amendment There’s just no way around that #noBAN

Trump’s "new" travel ban still excludes countries where he does business like Saudi Arabia and UAE–which actually sent the 9/11 terrorists.

Trump’s "new" travel ban takes effect in 10 days even though the last one had to start IMMEDIATELY because we were in SUCH DANGER. #MoreLies

Trump’s "new" travel ban ignores DHS’s own report concluding that banning travelers by country of origin would not reduce the terror threat.
— George Takei (@GeorgeTakei) March 6, 2017

Trump only issued a "new" travel ban because he can’t stand that he lost on the old one. This is about his ego, not about our security.

Oh look, another travel ban. If the first movie is a massive flop, there usually isn’t a sequel right away. There’s no Waterworld 2.

Patton Oswalt called on the mayor of Los Angeles to declare a sanctuary city for refugees, writing:

Dear @ericgarcetti: I’ve been a supporter, but you will lose me (and a LOT of others) if you don’t change this IMMEDIATELY. Please?

And here is the ACLU’s strong response to #MuslimBan2:

Freedom of religion is enshrined in our Constitution and this new ban is still unconstitutional. #MuslimBan #MuslimBan2
— ACLU National (@ACLU) March 6, 2017

We will confront this revised order in our ongoing litigation against the ban. #MuslimBan #MuslimBan2
— ACLU National (@ACLU) March 6, 2017

One more time for the people in the back (and for @realDonaldTrump). #nomuslimban #muslimban #muslimban2
— ACLU National (@ACLU) March 6, 2017

We couldn’t agree more!

What do U think of #MuslimBan2?
