About Osmania University
Osmania University (OU), is a public university in Hyderabad, India founded in 1918. It was established and named after the last Nizam of Hyderabad, Mir Osman Ali Khan. It is one of the oldest modern universities in India. It is the first Indian University to have Urdu and Indian regional language as medium of instruction. The OU is one of the largest university systems in the subcontinent with over 300,000 students on its various campuses and affiliated colleges. It is particularly well known for its Arts, Sciences, Commerce, Engineering and Technology departments.
