About Mahamaya Technical University
Mahamaya Technical University (MTU), was formed on 1 May, 2010 on the bifurcation of the erstwhile Uttar Pradesh Technical University. The university affiliates the colleges lying in the Meerut, Saharanpur, Agra, Aligarh and Moradabad regions from the academic year 2010-11 onwards. Incidentally, none of the government funded engineering colleges in Uttar Pradesh lie in this region.
