Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical Entrance Exam KEAM 2012
Kerala Engineering Medical Entrance Exam (KEAM) is conducted on the behalf of the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala. The students who want to join engineering, medical, agriculture, architecture will appear KEAM 2012 examination, for admission into first year and first semester of Btech Programmes.
KEAM 2012 used for Admission to different engineering, technical and medical professions is made on the basis of merit ranking of the candidate in the KEAM 2012 and Plus Two examination in Kerala. KEAM 2012 is referred as Combined Entrance Examination (CEE). On the basis of KEAM 2012 score candidates are offered seats in following Professional Under graduate Programmes
Medical Degree: MBBS, BDS, B.Pharm, B.Sc, Nursing, B.Sc. (MLT), BAMS, B.H.M.S, B.S.M.S (Siddha), B.Sc.-Nursing, B.Pharm. (Ayurveda), B.P.T (Physiotherapy)
Agriculture Degree: B.Sc. Hons. (Agriculture), B.F.Sc. (Fisheries), B.Sc. Hons. (Forestry)
Veterinary Sciences Degree: B.V.Sc & A.H
Engineering Degree: B.Tech. [including B.Tech. (Agricultural Engg.)/B.Tech. (Dairy Sc. & Tech.) courses under the Kerala Agricultural University
Architecture Degree: B.Arch.
NB: There is separate Entrance Examinations for admission to Engineering and Medical Courses conducted by the CEE and the allotment will be based on the rank in these Entrance Examinations.
There is no Entrance Examination B.Arch. course. However, candidates seeking admission to B.Arch. course should appear and qualify the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture (NIASA). KEAM 2012 Eligibility
Under Graduate students seeking admission in professional institutes in Kerala appears for KEAM 2012. The eligibility of KEAM 2012 includes pass of Plus Two or Equalent examination conducted by Kerala Education Board.
KEAM 2012 Seat Reservation Criteria
(A) State Merit (SM) - 65%
(B) Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) - 25%
a. Ezhava (EZ) - 9%
b. Muslim (MU) - 8%
c. Other Backward Hindu (BH) - 5%
d. Latin Catholic Other than Anglo Indian (LC) - 2%
e. Other Backward Christian (BX) - 1%
(C) Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes - 10%
a. Scheduled Castes (SC) - 8%
b. Scheduled Tribes (ST) - 2%
KEAM 2012 Examination Timetable
The Entrance Examinations will be held at all the District Centers in Kerala, New Delhi and Dubai (UAE), on the dates mentioned below as per Indian Standard Time (IST).
