IIT JEE 2012 Results will be on jee.iitm.ac.in.
The Indian Institutes of Technology announce IIT JEE Results 2012 on the official website of IIT www.jee.iitm.ac.in. The IIT JEE Results 2012 will be announced on 18th May 2012. The IIT JEE 2012 is the Examination for entrance to various cources in IITs Bhuvaneswer, Bombay, Gandhinagar, Guwahati,Hyderabad, Indore, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Mandi, Patna, Rajasthan, Roorkee, Ropar, IT-BHU Varanasi, ISM-Dhanbad. The Joint Entrance Examination 2012 results are the gateway to various cources admisisons. The IIT JEE Examination was held on 8th April 2012.
The 15 IITs are IIT-Bhubaneshwar, IIT-Bombay, IIT-Delhi, IIT-Gandhinagar, IIT-Guwahati, IIT-Hyderabad, IIT-Indore, IIT-Kanpur, IIT-Kharagpur, IIT-Madras, IIT-Mandi, IIT-Patna, IIT-Rajasthan, IIT-Roorkee, IIT-Ropar. Institute of Technology at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi and Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad along with Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, Rae Bareli, Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) at Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram and Indian Maritime University (TS Chanakya, Navi Mumbai, Mumbai campus, Marine Engineering & Research Institute, Kolkata, National Maritime Academy, Chennai, Marine Engineering and Research Institute, Mumbai and Visakhapatnam) also take in students on the basis of JEE results.
About 5.6 lakh engineering aspirants took the IIT JEE on April 8, 2012. The maximum number of applications are for IIT-JEE 2012 came from Kanpur zone followed by Madras zone. The exams were held at 1,067 centres across the country for admission to nearly 9,600 undergraduate seats in the 15 IITs.

About IIT JEE
The Indian Institutes of Technology (popularly known as IITs) are institutions of national importance established through an Act of Parliament for fostering excellence in education. RESULTS OF IIT-JEE 2012
The answer paper of IIT-JEE 2012 is a machine-gradable Optical Response Sheet (ORS). These sheets are graded and scrutinized with extreme care after the examination.
Candidates will get to know their All India Ranks (AIR) / Category ranks through IIT-JEE 2012 websites / SMS / IVRS on or after May 18, 2012.
Candidates can view the answer keys of IIT-JEE 2012 on JEE websites from May 7, 2012.
Only those candidates who attempted both Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be considered for the ranking. Marks in Physics in IIT-JEE 2012 will be equal to marks in Physics section of Paper 1 plus marks in Physics section of Paper 2. Similar procedure will be followed for Chemistry and Mathematics. The sum of the marks obtained in the individual subjects in IIT-JEE 2012 will be the aggregate marks for the candidate.
