Canarabank released notification for probationary clerks. There are 2000 vaccancies listed for probationary clerks post. Pay Scale : Rs.7200 – 400/3 – 8400 – 500/3 – 9900 – 600/4 – 12300 – 700/7 – 17200 – 1300/1 – 18500 – 800/1 – 19300/- (Dearness Allowance, HRA, CCA, Medical Aid, Hospitalization expenses, Leave Fare Concession etc., depending on the place of posting shall be available as per rules.)

Essential Qualification : i)  Passed the Common Written Examination [CWE] for Clerks 2011-12 conducted by IBPS, Mumbai and holding a valid IBPS Score Card of the said CWE. Should have obtained a minimum score or above in each subject and also in the Total Weighted Standard Score.    ii)  Operating & working knowledge in computer systems shall be an essential qualification, which a candidate must either possess or acquire within 6 months from the date of joining the Bank.  iii)  The candidates shall acquire working knowledge of Hindi, if not possessed already, before completion of probationary period.

Educational Qualification : A pass with 60% marks in the aggregate in Matriculation / SSC (old pattern) / SSLC/ 10th Std. Examination of 10+2+3 pattern or equivalent. For SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EXSM candidates a pass in the aggregate in Matriculation / SSC (old pattern) / SSLC / 10th Std. Examination of 10+2+3 pattern or equivalent.   OR    A pass with 50% marks in HSC examination of 10+2 (10+2+3) pattern / 11th Std. of (11+1+3) pattern or Intermediate / Pre-University or any equivalent examination / Diploma in Banking recognized by Central / State Government or U.T. administration. For SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EXSM candidates a pass in HSC examination of 10+2 (10+2+3 pattern) / 11th Std. of (11+1+3) pattern or Intermediate / Pre-University or any equivalent examination / diploma in Banking recognized by Central / State Government or U.T. administration.   OR  Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.   AND Candidate should have proficiency in Official Language of the State / UT for which he / she is applying.

Age Limit : Minimum – 18 Years, Maximum – 28 Years (Age as on 01.08.2011 )

Selection Procedure : The selection for the post of Probationary Clerks for each State / Union Territory is on the basis of Score obtained in stipulated CWE for Clerks + Group Discussion + Interview. Proficiency [i.e. read, write & speak] in Official Language of the State / UT for which the candidate has applied, will be tested during GD and marks will be awarded for the same. The GD and Interview will be held at the identified centres. The list of centres will be made available in the on-line application.

Probation Period : 6 Months

Application Fee : Rs.100/- (Rs.50/- For SC/ST/PWD)
